Hugufdu forms a friendship with a young girl thanks to his unique song, which is different from that of the other birds.
Everyone around him makes an effort to change Hugufdu so that he will be like them.
The Girl with a Bird’s Nest Hair is not happy about this change; she wants her friend to remain the same and to keep being different.
This story aims to convey to every reader the joy of being accepted for the qualities that make us who we are.
The Girl with a Bird’s Nest Hair and Hugufdu is a children’s story created for the Erasmus+ KA229 Inclusion of Minorities project.
The project involved work with more than seven hundred primary school students, and the related activities were published.
In 2019, the implementations were selected by Sabancı University as one of the “Good Practices in Education” and were presented accordingly.
